When our lives are busy we tend to pamper ourselves only occasionally, maybe with a birthday treat someone else has gifted us, or some fun during our annual holiday. But when we take care of ourselves regularly with a few smaller things, it can take our wellness level in the right direction. Plus these things don't have to be really expensive or time consuming.
To celebrate our new look personal care range, we've got some great tips for taking care of yourself. Check out our five ideas for some regular investment in you!
Set up at home for when you need it
If we have things at the ready at home, we can give ourselves a bit of pampering when we need it at the end of a long or stressful day. It might be some plant based body care products, a ready supply of good books, food you know you'll like to cook and eat, an essential oil diffuser, or some relaxing tunes in different playlists.
Make a day or weekend of it
Setting time aside to care for yourself is a great habit to get into. It might be a weekend to celebrate an occasion, or one day every couple of months spent with those closest to you. Try organising the day to do what you enjoy, whether it's a walk in nature, reading, seeing a movie or catching up with friends.
Keep up with nutrition, exercise and rest
These are often among the first things we struggle to maintain when our schedule gets packed. But prioritising good food and drink is a key way to support your physical and mental wellbeing. Try stocking up on healthy produce at your place, or choose healthier options if you're eating out. Water-rich foods and having a water bottle close at hand will help you hydrate well, too. And complement these with enough rest - it's commonly recommended that adults get at least seven hours per night.
Grab some nourishing personal care products
Earlier we mentioned body care products - there are so many that can help you feel relaxed and pampered. It's great to also add nourishing and moisturising skin and body products to your routine - try choosing ones that are plant based and don't have nasty chemicals. Our personal care range [online link and new products image lineup] is not only a great way to treat yourself, but it has a new look and can really give your bathroom or bedroom a lift!
Create a haven
The picture of relaxation is different for each of us, but it's possible to make spaces at home that give us what we need. It might be a room designed for morning yoga or meditation, or just bringing some visual inspiration like candles or flowers to your lounge or bedroom. Try filling this space with less technology and more things that fuel relaxation.
