Hexyl cinnamal is frequently used for its rich floral notes in the composition of fragrances for perfumery, personal care products and soaps. Hexyl cinnamal is considered a low hazard when used at low concentrations. It is defined as a possible allergen by the EU Cosmetics Regulation, meaning a small percentage of people may be sensitive to this ingredient.
