Ingredient - Ocimum Basilicum (Basil) Oil

Basil (Ocimum basilicum) is a fragrant herb in the mint (Lamiaceae) family, native to tropical regions of Africa and Southeast Asia. Many varieties and hybrid species are grown around the world, with leaf sizes ranging from tiny 3cm points to more succulent 11cm lengths. Basil is primarily cultivated for use in cooking, however its different aroma profiles make the essential oils useful in fragrances. One of the primary scents in sweet basil comes from the presence of eugenol, which is also found in cloves.
