GETTING THE MIX RIGHT
Across the ecostore range, our plastic bottles now contain a mix of Sugar Plastic – a renewable, recyclable plastic that captures CO2 as it grows – and locally sourced recycled plastic. Using plastic made from sugar instead of petrochemicals lets us capture CO2 from the atmosphere rather than releasing it, while incorporating recycled content helps keep this valuable material in the loop and reduces the need to create new plastic. This mix creates durable bottles, uses less energy and resources, and cuts down on the amount of plastic in our environment.
*Please note our bulk formats 4.5kg, 5kg, 5L and 20L are made from standard HDPE. We’re working on this.

FSC CARDBOARD
Our cardboard packaging has been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council to promote environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world's forests.
SCOOPS
Our laundry powder measuring scoops are all made from Sugar Plastic, 100% renewable and recyclable plastic made from sugarcane.
DISSOLVABLE WRAPPERS
Our no-mess dishwasher tablets are individually wrapped in a PVA biodegradable wrapper that dissolves in your machine.
TRIGGERS, CAPS & PUMPS
Triggers, pumps & caps are not kerbside recyclable in NZ. You can recycle caps through the Caps & Lids Recycling Scheme - find your nearest drop off point here. While we don’t yet have a recycling solution for our pumps and triggers, we recommend reusing them for as long as possible with our concentrates and refill options!
