Nasty Ingredients
Isothiazolinones
Isothiazolinones are synthetic preservatives used in a range of products including cleaning, laundry and personal care. They are known as sensitizersiv, which have been linked to allergic contact dermatitisv. Because of these health concerns, the European Parliament and the Council on Cosmetic Products have proposed to restrict isothiazolinone use to rinse-off products onlyvi ( i.e. products such as body and hand washes, and not leave-on products such as moisturisers).
