Gamma-Decalactone is a fragrance compound with a distinct creamy peach aroma, and is found naturally in many fruits, including peaches and strawberries. It is also present in certain fermented products, which has led to some production for industry using specially cultivated yeast strains. Gamma-Decalactone is used in the creation of many fruit fragrances and flavours for beverages, personal care products and some pharmaceuticals.
