Royal jasmine (Jasminum grandiflorum) is a species of flowering shrub cultivated in many parts of Asia and Africa as an ornamental plant. These evergreen or deciduous shrubs produce white flowers that are prized for their sweet fragrance. Under a process of liquid-liquid extraction (LLE), the fragrance from the flowers can be extracted for use in perfumery.
